About this site

This site is operated by Alliance Global Solutions, a provider of remote medical billing and revenue cycle staff. We may contact you about our services if you request it.

Short answer: medicalbillingteam.com is an informational resource about medical billing and revenue cycle staffing, with a short list of approved vendors that meet our published criteria. It is operated by Alliance Global Solutions, a provider of remote billing staff and currently the only approved vendor, so requests you send may be referred to it. Our guides cite public sources and make no outcome promises.

Medical Billing Team is a resource for US medical practices and billing companies that are sorting out how to staff their billing and revenue cycle work. We write plain-English guides on topics like denial management, A/R follow-up, eligibility and prior authorization, HIPAA safeguards for outsourced staff and the real costs of different staffing models.

Disclosure: who operates this site

Medical Billing Team is operated by Alliance Global Solutions. That means we have a financial interest in Alliance Global Solutions, currently the only vendor on our approved vendor list. Requests you submit through this site may be referred to Alliance Global Solutions, and we benefit if you hire it. We hold Alliance Global Solutions to the same published criteria we'd apply to any vendor, and we don't publish ratings, reviews or testimonials.

This site is operated by Alliance Global Solutions, a provider of remote medical billing and revenue cycle staff. Alliance Global Solutions is currently the only vendor on our approved vendor list, and requests you submit here may be referred to it. We benefit financially if you hire it. We may contact you about our services if you request it.

That means we have a commercial interest in the topics we write about. Alliance Global Solutions provides dedicated remote staff (US-based management and admin; staff in the Philippines, Colombia and other countries) for roles such as billing specialists, A/R follow-up, eligibility and insurance verification (VOB), prior authorization, payment posting, denial follow-up and admissions or intake support. You can learn more about the company on its own website: about Alliance Global Solutions.

Alliance Global Solutions signs a business associate agreement (BAA) with each client before any of its staff access protected health information. We don't describe ourselves as "HIPAA certified," because there is no such certification.

We think you should know that before you read anything here, so this disclosure also appears in the footer of every page and next to our forms.

How the approved vendor list works

This site works like a guide plus a short, vetted directory. We write the guides; when you ask for help, we route your request to an approved vendor.

  • Published criteria. A vendor must meet every item on how we vet vendors, including signing a BAA with each client before any PHI access, dedicated staff working in the client's systems, US billing experience and references on request.
  • One vendor today, by design. Our approved vendor list has one company, Alliance Global Solutions, and it operates this site. We won't pad the list with vendors we can't stand behind, and we don't sell placements.
  • No ratings, reviews or testimonials. We describe what a vendor does, in facts it has confirmed. See the Alliance Global Solutions profile.
  • Your contract is with the vendor. If you hire a vendor, the agreement, including the BAA, is between your practice and that vendor. Do your own due diligence.

How we write our guides

  • We explain options fairly, including when in-house staff or a full-service billing company is a better fit than remote staff.
  • We cite public sources. Any statistic on this site links to a public source such as CMS, HHS, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the AMA or KFF. Where we cite a vendor survey, we say so. If we can't find a reliable public source for a number, we leave the number out.
  • We don't promise results. Billing outcomes depend on your payers, specialty, documentation and processes. We don't claim that any staffing model will cut denials or A/R days by a set amount.
  • No fake proof. You won't find invented testimonials, star ratings, client logos or case studies here. If we ever publish a client story, it will be real, permission-based and clearly labeled.
  • We are not "HIPAA certified," and neither is anyone else. There is no official HIPAA certification. We explain what safeguards to look for in our HIPAA guide.
  • Dates mean something. Each guide shows its original publication date and the date of its last substantive update. We change the "Updated" date only when content meaningfully changes, not for a redesign or rebuild. Guides are reviewed at least quarterly and whenever CMS, HHS, payers or code sets change something they cover.
  • Who writes and reviews. Guides are published under the Medical Billing Team editors byline. We don't invent author personas or credentials. When a named reviewer with medical billing experience checks a guide, their name and role will appear on it.
  • How we use automation. We use AI tools to help research and draft. Every statistic and regulatory statement is checked against the linked public source before publishing, and the sources are linked inline.

Technology

We cover how AI and automation are changing billing, from claim scrubbing to electronic prior authorization, on our technology in medical billing hub, which we update with dated, sourced items. Alliance Global Solutions helps clients set up AI assistant workflows alongside their dedicated staff. We also use AI tools to help research and draft our guides, as described above.
